Job Description

Sigma Industry North in Umeå offers consulting services to industrial clients throughout the region. Here, engineers work in areas such as project management, production technology, product development, and quality. We are part of the Sigma Industry East North group, which consists of subsidiaries from Linköping in the south to Luleå in the north.

We are looking for someone who has worked for several years, preferably as a project manager in industry or other technical fields. In your role here at Sigma, you will lead both larger and smaller projects together with our clients. You are expected to plan, lead, and follow up on the work to ensure delivery within set frameworks regarding cost, time, and quality.

Qualifications

• Educated Civil Engineer/University Engineer in a relevant field
• Several years of work experience from industry or technical sectors
• Excellent knowledge of both Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
• Experience in project management and/or leadership roles
• Experience in energy, electrical power, nuclear power, or district heating is an advantage

To succeed in this role, we believe you are comfortable in new situations and have the ability to lead and motivate others. Furthermore, it is an additional merit if you have a certification in project management (IPMA/PMP). This is otherwise something that is offered as a natural part of the competence development with us.

Sigma Industry North has offices in Umeå and Luleå, and our working area extends from Övik in the south to Kiruna in the north. Currently, about 45 employees work here in project management, product development, production technology, energy technology, mechanical and electrical design, automation, and calculations. Our consultants have diverse technical backgrounds and often broad experience from working life. We actively work with diversity and increased equality, and we want to have more women in the company. We have, among other things, started a network for women in the industry in the region and we work together with the organization Pepp to attract more girls to the industry.

The Sigma Group is privately owned by the Dan Olofsson family. Five years ago, the group had about 1,000 employees. Today, the Sigma Group has over 5,000 employees and has experienced organic growth of over 20% per year for the past five years.
